Who is Eligible to Serve on the Staff Council? An eligible member of Staff Council is a permanent (after probation) staff member of University Hospital, Children’s Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, University Physicians or Corporate Services, with the exception of managers and upper level administration. What is the Term of Office for a Member? Council members are elected for two-year terms and may only be elected to two consecutive terms. Terms of office begin July 1 and end June 30. After sitting out for a two-year period, a staff member may be eligible for re-election. If a council member is elected through a special election to fill a prematurely vacated seat, the term of office is one year. The Staff Suggestion Program is one of the key programs administered by Staff Council. If you have an idea to help improve University of Missouri Health Care, Children’s Hospital or Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, please use this link below to e-mail the form to the staff suggestion committee mail box. The Staff Suggestion Program committee evaluates all suggestions for merit and effort shown. The more details included in the suggestion, the greater the chances of successful implementation.
