Our Vision

The vision is to take advantage of the exceptional educational and research assets of the University of Missouri and to create one of the nation’s most outstanding and productive clinical and translational science programs. The vision also involves the creation of an optimal academic environment for the MU research community to extend and translate recent scientific advances in fields such as genomics, proteomics, informatics, and other novel methodologies.

Furthermore, the vision embraces the value of an inclusive scientific community that engages practitioners, consumers, families, and stakeholders in the educational and research process. Lastly, the vision involves having a meaningful impact on the quality-of-life and the health of the citizens of Missouri, the nation, and the world. Beyond the vision, MU also has the capacity to turn this “vision” into “reality” in the pursuit of outstanding clinical and translational science.
